Deer Valley Emergency Department Quick Look

Integrity showed a thorough understanding that healthcare facilities are unique work environments. They are keenly aware of the potential hazards that exist when completing construction work within such areas, and they maintained strict ICRA compliance without compromising the health of our patients and staff.

IBC renovated 1,100 SF of the emergency department's lobby at HonorHealth's Deer Valley Medical Center, repurposing the space into administrative areas and four (4) triage rooms. The new space allows the hospital staff to perform quick assessments on incoming patients to determine the best course of treatment. Major challenges included importing construction materials and trades into an “active” hospital throughout daily shifts while remaining transparent to patients and staff. The work was phased and involved new HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. All new finishes, including paint, carpet, millwork, and new furnishings were used and had to be tied in with the existing finishes to resemble a seamless transition from new construction to existing space. Because the renovations were completed within “live” patient areas, IBC took great care to maintain ICRA compliance and worked diligently with the ED staff and trades on noise management and dust containment, while minimizing risks for patients and staff.
